While looking into this story I discovered that the American Farmland Trust has a podcast. You can use this link to subscribe in iTunes. But besides that they’ve just promoted a couple of really wonderful people.
William Kuckuck, Executive Vice President, American Farmland Trust (AFT) has announced the promotion of Jane Kirchner as Director of Marketing and Jennifer Morrill as Director of Media Relations.
As Director of Marketing, Jane Kirchner will oversee an integrated marketing program for the organization and help foster strategic external partnerships. Kirchner joined AFT in 2003, and has marketed AFT’s technical assistance consulting services, led the redevelopment and design of AFT’s website and developed an online communications program. Her prior experience includes food industry marketing and land use planning.
Jennifer Morrill joined AFT in 2005 with more than 15 years of experience in agricultural issues communication and program development. As Director of Media Relations, she will focus on the continued development and implementation of strategic communications and outreach and will serve as AFT’s first point of response to the press.

Why have a camera if you don’t use it right?
I am seriously late in posting this but just in case you want to get in on a webinar about “Digital Photo Management Made Easy: How to Edit, Archive and Catalog Digital Photos.” This is being offered by the American Agricultural Editors’ Association and it’s tomorrow folks. You don’t have to be a member to register and participate.
Another Commodity Classic has come and gone and I’m in recovery mode. But I do have a ZimmCast for you which is in part from the trade show floor. In the first part of the program I interviewed the three amigos you see in the picture. They are (l-r) Jeremy Povenmire,
We did the interview as a talk around with Bill describing the latest research NAFB has completed, Jeremy talking about membership and Hugh updating us on the status of the NAFB Foundation.

It has been a long day of travel back from Tampa, FL and the Commodity Classic so this is all you get today.
Neither of them really do justice to the moon as it came up over the horizon. Just the few minutes it took to get to an exit made a big difference.
I know I’ve covered a lot of BASF activities here at Commodity Classic but they are very involved and hey, they’re one of my sponsors. To get a wrap-up I spoke with Steve Henning, Marketing Manager Corn Belt after he got done with a tv interview.
Cindy was trade show talking today with Dean Kleckner,
Another banquet held last night was the Annual ASA Banquet.
