The AgChat Agvocacy 2.0 Conference may be over but I have more interviews to share. I’m on the agriblogging highway to another event so it will be several days before I can get them all posted. In the meantime I’ve got plenty of photos to share. 2011 AgChat Agvocacy 2.0 Conference Photo Album Here’s the full group at the conclusion …
Agvocating For Dairy
At the AgChat Agvocacy 2.0 Conference I met Twitter follower and now friend in person. Here’s @DairyCarrie Mess and her husband. You’ll notice that Carrie is wearing a New Holland shirt! That’s because the dealership she works at sponsored her participation in the conference. I talked with Carrie to learn what drew her to AgChat and using social media. I …
Where Them Cows At
Just because you couldn’t make it to the AgChat Agvocacy 2.0 Conference doesn’t mean you can’t communicate with the community. Take the Dairy Goddess who couldn’t be here. She passed along a video link to share around and I found it via the conference Facebook page. It’s a great video and I hope you enjoy it as much as I …
USFRA Presents Research at AgChat Agvocacy 2.0 Conference
At the AgChat Agvocacy 2.0 Conference the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance presented some research with consumers that was conducted by Maslansky, Luntz + Partners. Growing a Crop of Agvocates
All of the attendees at the AgChat Agvocacy 2.0 Conference are going home with logo shirts thanks to the work of Drew Bender, agriculture education instructor in central Ohio. He’s one of the volunteers helping make the conference happen. Last year he was on the training committee and this year he’s continued his involvement putting on the second conference. Drew …
Farmer Involvement in Agvocacy Training
Ryan Weeks is a 5th generation farmer from south-central Nebraska (pictured on left). He thinks that if farmers don’t use social media to tell their story someone will do it for them. He’s involved in the AgChat Agvocacy 2.0 Conference. He got interested after starting on Twitter and attending last year’s conference. This year’s he’s serving on the training committee. …
Kicking off AgChat Agvocacy 2.0
The 2011 AgChat Agvocacy 2.0 Conference is underway in Nashville, TN. We’ve got about twice as many attendees as the first conference last year. Getting us started is AgChat Foundation President Jeff Fowle. He welcomed everyone and provided some thoughts on how important it is to engage people via social media. Engagement and interaction is vital to developing trust because …
AgChat Foundation Board Discussion
In advance of tomorrow’s start to the AgChat Agvocacy 2.0 Conference, the AgChat Foundation board members are having a discussion. It has been a year and a half since this organization got started. We’ve got a lot to talk about and I’m looking forward to it. The Agvocacy Conference is larger than last year and if we hadn’t had to …
iPhone vs. Android/Thunderbolt
iPhone or Android? That is the question. It’s pretty easy to answer in my opinion. I’ve had an AT&T iPhone since they came out and earlier this year I got a Verizon HTC Thunderbolt (4G). The iPhone wins this comparison hands down. Even the AT&T network seems improved, which was a major complaint I used to have for it. Here’s …
Make a Video Entry For New Holland Boomer 555 Contest
There are some great entries in the New Holland Boomer 555 Contest. This social media driven promotion we’re helping with is going well. Who wouldn’t want to win a 5 year lease on a new Boomer 30 compact tractor with front end loader? We’d like to see some video entries. How about it? Got some creative juices flowing? Get out …
