Thanks for uploading the pix and captions:-)

It has been 10 years since I attended a national NAMA convention. I just finished your Convention Blog Summary, and it was great to see faces I still recognized and read about the activities of the convention. Great Job. Thanks.

Merial Guarantees Cattle Gain with IVOMEC Plus Challenge
Spring Deworming Program a Win-Win Situation for Producers

DULUTH, Ga., April 27, 2005 – Merial has announced a new program that educates cattle producers on the importance of spring deworming. The IVOMEC Plus Challenge gives producers in nine states a firsthand look at the benefits of treating cattle for parasites in the spring.

To be eligible for the IVOMEC Plus Challenge, a producer must treat all cows and calves with IVOMEC Plus before May 31, 2005. In the fall, the producer compares their 2004 weaning weights with 2005 weaning weights. If the difference in weight gain multiplied by the calf price is less than the cost of the treatment, Merial will provide enough IVOMEC Pour-On to treat all their cattle in the fall, according to Dr. James Hawkins, Associate Director of Merial Veterinary Professional Services.

Mmm Mmm Ancho Chile Braised Pork Belly

Chuck Zimmerman

You know I was a judge in the Pork BarbeQlossal once. I would like to make a living getting paid to eat and judge. It was in Indianapolis a few years back. We were cautioned about eating too much during the judging so we didn’t get too full. I paced myself and I was hungry enough at the end to sample all the leftovers too!

Maybe I’ll be invited to judge the Taste of Elegance someday? This just in from the National Pork Board.

Glenn Soulia Wins Checkoff’s Taste of EleganceTM Contest
