The people at Today’s Farmer magazine have just completed a new readership study which provides some comparative data to other publications targeting Missouri farmers. The publication is owned by MFA Incorporated. The sample for the survey was compiled by Farm Market ID and the survey was conducted by Ag Media Research.
MFA Health Track Has QSA Status
MFA Incorporated just got some very important news for cattlemen who want to be able to take quick advantage of the pending opening of new foreign trade markets. To announce it they sent out a Talking News Release. The state of Missouri is ahead of the game in obtaining USDA Quality Systems Assessment and MFA’s Health Track program is now able to offer that status to its customers!
Flame That Flu Away
I haven’t said much about avian flu because I just don’t really know much about it. However, when you’ve got one of these flame shooting poultry house sanitizers we may just not have to worry too much! I like propane (I just wish it were cheaper) and here’s a great use for it. In fact, if you want to see a video of Flame Engineering’s Red Dragon Poultry House Flame Sanitizer just look here (9.1MB WMV).
Novartis Announces Vet Winners From AABP
It’s time to kick off a new week of stories here on AgWired. Let’s start with Novartis Animal Health, US. Why? Because they were the first in the old inbox and because I thought it was interesting that they sent releases out announcing the results of the competition they held at their booth at a recent trade show.
The Birth of the Global Auction Blog
This thing apparently was “born from one farmer’s struggle to find farm auction listings on the Internet.” That farmer being Dwayne Leslie, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada. I’m posting this since Dwayne commented on my recent article about Sirius satellite radio. He subscribes to the ZimmCast and I’m sending him an invitation to be my guest on an upcoming program. This auction guide business looks like it has turned into serious business for Dwayne.
When Will We See Heineken Premium Light
This is appropriate for a Friday afternoon post. I noticed a story on Just-drinks.com that Heineken announced today that they’ll be introducing Heineken Premium Light next spring in the United States. Then in researching it I found this release on the Heineken corporate site that announced this in March. I guess it takes a while to get the ball rolling across the big pond. I’m sure the light version will be just as good as the “original.”
Growing Point Offers Virtual Plot Tours
You have to have a password to get into the Pioneer Growing Point Website but inside you’ll find a pretty cool feature right now. Virtual Plot Tours. I know they’re not a “new” thing but these are very well done in my opinion. They’re short videos that let you see the product in action and then there’s a ton of support information available. It’s also done by hybrid number so of course there’s lots of videos!
Pioneer Has 22 New Soybean Varieties
Okay, here’s some more new varieties. Phew. They just keep coming out. It’s the result of all those years of work we’ve reported on for so long right? We knew they’d be showing up. This time it’s Pioneer.
AgStar Financial Delivering Harvest Lunches
As we struggle to get in touch with growers in the middle of harvest someone’s reaching them the right way. That’s AgStar Financial. This story was on Brownfield Network today and it’s just a “good” story so I had to point you to it.
D&PL Announce New Cotton Varieties
The new product announcements just keep on coming. Delta & Pine Company has a whole range of new cotton varieties. The announcement gets into some pretty technical stuff that includes a lot of number and letters. I recommend visiting their website to learn more.
