The Fleishman-Hillard reception featured a great band, Jason Boland and The Stragglers.
There were many students there with way more energy than I have left, dancing and having a good time.

At the entrance to the Fleishman-Hillard reception you could take a little trivia quiz. Winners announced later. I don’t think I did very good. If they give me the winners I’ll post them later.
Besides the silent auction going on we had a live auction tonight. It’s all to raise money for the Agri-Business Educational Foundation.
As I’ve said before, networking with your peers is a big benefit of attending the NAMA convention. In the trade show there’s plenty of opportunity to do that as these folks are doing.
Raising money for the Agri-Business Educational Foundation. That’s what the silent auction does. There’s lots to bid on. Stop by and support our youth.
The Ag Media Summit Booth featured a little musical entertainment. Can you say polka-time?
Plan to attend the Summit this summer.
The NAFB team is here. They’ve got the booth right across the aisle from yours truly. I snapped this during the first trade show session.
You can learn more about them at the NAFB website.
They requested no picture taking during the awards. I got this one though before Cyndi started announcing them. This is the on-stage presentation team.
The first announcement at the NAMA Awards Ceremony was the announcement of which student teams made it to the final round. They are: Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Ohio State, Purdue, Michigan State and University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Way to go teams. Good luck in the finals tomorrow.
There’s so many awards given out that I doubt we’ll be able to post them all and I’m not going to even try yet. But while the ceremony is going on I can bring you a few pictures.
The emcee for the awards tonight is Cyndi Young, Farm Director, Brownfield Network. She’s doing a great job as you would expect from a broadcast professional.
