The Gateway NAMA chapter is having its luncheon today (right now) in conjunction with the St. Louis Agribusiness Club. Speaking is Terry Barr, Chief Economist for the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives and Vice President of the Cooperative Business Center in NCFC. His subject is “Implications for Agribusiness with an Updated Outlook of the U.S. Economy.” We’ve got about 60 people here.
NAMA Presentations Available Online
If you attended the NAMA Agribusiness Forum recently, the presentations that were recorded are now available online, including presenter slides. I’d tell you how to access them for free but I think Eldon would kill me. If you did attend then contact the NAMA office to obtain your coupon code for complimentary access. It’s just another benefit of attending.
Broadcasters at NAMA/NAFB Overlap Sessions
At the close of the NAMA Agribusiness Forum farm broadcasters were in attendance with an afternoon session that overlapped with the NAFB Convention.
Here’s a few of the broadcasters who showed up at the Hyatt Crown Center. It’s one of the first times I’ve seen a mult box at a NAMA session.
Hopefully we’ll see it again next year? If you attended these sessions how do you think it went? Was it a good idea to have a joint afternoon session?
The Future is Bright For Agribusiness
The NAMA Agribusiness Forum is over and it’s NAFB Convention time. I’m getting ready to head over to today’s Trade Talk session after this post. You can see and hear more from the Forum though over on the NAMA blog.
The last presentation at the Agribusiness Forum yesterday was given by Sano Shimoda, BioScience Securities.
Anita is Excellent
My former compadre from the Brownfield Network was presented a very deserving award today at the NAMA Agribusiness Forum.
Anita Vanderwert was recognized for her sales efforts with the NAMA Professional Development, Award of Excellence – Sales.
After many years of doing interviews for Anita’s client’s I got to finally interview her.
Agribusiness Forum Starts Today
It’s time for the NAMA Agribusiness Forum. I’ll be the NAMA blogger once again this year but don’t arrive until tomorrow.
In case you missed a recent ZimmCast with the Chairman of this year’s conference you can still find it.
It’s going to be a good program and once again overlaps with the NAFB Convention. Maybe I’ll see you there.

Help Us Think BIG
The 2007 Agri-Marketing ConferenceTrade Show Committe just met via conference call and we’re thinking big. It’s always a challenge trying to come up with a schedule and locations that will meet everyone’s needs and wants.
I’m wondering if any of you creative types who attend the Conference would offer your ideas about what we can do at the trade show to attract your and your peers to visit and spend time there. We want to kick the trade show off with a bang. It’s going to be in Dallas and you can see what the theme is.
What can we do to attract traffic into the NAMA trade show? Our next conference call is coming up in just 2 weeks so please forward me any ideas you might have.
