According to a release from Farm Journal Media, the FCC has issued a Public Notice on Farm Journal Media’s November 29, 2005, Petition for Declaratory Ruling with respect to the non-commercial set-aside eligibility of RFD-TV. I guess this means the FCC is looking for your thoughts on the matter. I really don’t have much other information on the background for this or the potential impact on RFD-TV. If you do, please feel free to leave a comment.
Brownfield Acquires Waitt Farm Network
In the big keep getting bigger department and just received before I could turn my computer off: Learfield Communications announces the acquisition of the Waitt Farm Network. It looks like this gives Kim Lang something new to do. We wouldn’t want her sitting around idle now would we? The network operates in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota and was purchased from NRG Media.

Media Using Computers

This is a big head table. Kind of hard to get into one shot. You’ll have to listen to the audio to hear their introduction by Joe Schuele, NCBA. This is the Cattle Industry Convention Media Forum just prior to our reception this evening. The event was sponsored by Merial.
Retired Journalism Prof Shows Arrogance
In the latest issue of the AAEA Byline (you’ve got to be a member to read it) there’s an article on ethics called “Beware The Ethics Swamp.” It’s written by Elaine Shein. I think this is a great subject to do a series of articles on.
