I’ve been a spokesperson for the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council on this cross country convoy trip this past 2 weeks. Media opportunities have arisen at various stops.
We’re In Illinois Now
Upon arrival in Illinois today we were greeted by a bunch of folks, including Jim Robbins, Illinois Corn Marketing Board.
Commissioner Cahn on Ethanol
If you ever need someone to set up a tailgate party for you then the Commissioner of Tailgating, Joe Cahn is your man. He was out in the sun tailgating here in Omaha for the AASHTO Celebrate the Interstate Convoy again today.
Ethanol Blend In Nebraska
Our convoy is in Omaha, NE now. We’ve got a morning press conference then a display at the QWest Center. Yesterday we finally found a fuel stop that blended ethanol in its gasoline.
Making Progress In Cheyenne
Blogging time is a challenge on a long road trip and I’m on a LONG road trip. Tomorrow’s going to be a 502 mile segment of this convoy trip from Cheyenne to Omaha with 2 stops on the way.
Ethanol Promoted By Utah Governor
Ethanol got a huge plug at this morning’s press conference from Utah Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr. Although not a member of the Governor’s Ethanol Coalition he should be. I interviewed the Governor prior to his remarks before he got on his Harley to escort us to the Wyoming line. Here you can see him getting ready to saddle up and lead us out of town.
Cross Country Dueling Satellite Radios
Posting will be kind of sporadic here in the next 2 weeks. At least I think so. This AASHTO cross country convoy is a busy day of activities. You can read a lot more about it on Domestic Fuel. Anyway, one of the things I’m going to be doing is a thing I’m going to label, “Dueling Satellite Radios.” I’ll have more on this but you’ll hear about it in the video clip I’ve got for you here. I mention it because it’s “new media” and I’ve got a great interview coming up for you this weekend with a VP from XM Satellite Radio. You probably know I’m a Sirius subscriber but I’ve also got XM in the truck I’m driving so it’s going to be a cross country side-by-side comparison and I wonder who will win.
E85 Observations from the Road
It’s about time to hit the blogging trail again. This time on a cross country interstate highway celebration tour. How’s this look for an “ethanol advocate?” That’s me. I like the idea of growing our own fuel and for the next couple weeks I’ll be the official ethanol advocate representative for the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council driving along with … Ag Groups, Audio, Ethanol
Support Ethanol On The Interstate
Blogging Coast To Coast
Event coverage is me. At least it seems that way lately. Besides the upcoming CMA Fan Fair, I’ve got a very interesting one that I can announce. It’s the 50 year celebration of our national interstate system.
