The program this week is a followup to the Agricultural Media Summit in Portland, Oregon. Interest is very high in using new media tools like agriblogging and farm podcasting.

Last night I ran into Amber Spafford, Osborn & Barr Communications, who received this year’s Livestock Publications Council Hall of Fame Award.
Reception Time
It’s time to do a little recepting here at the AMS. Starting now we have the BASF Media reception. Then it’s off to the Awards Celebrations Reception, combined AAEA and LPC. Then they have their awards dinners before getting back together for the Dessert Reception.

I keep getting positive feedback from my agriblogging and farm podcasting workshop yesterday. For example, Dan Crummett, current President of AAEA, Rural Life, said he used an idea that came up in the session for a post he did yesterday on his blog.

The InfoExpo is in full swing here at the Ag Media Summit. I’m getting ready to spend some time there and conduct some interviews.
