I’m not even home yet and I’ve been asked where the next trip will take this road blogger.
Active Egg Eaters
The “Let’s Get A Sports Figure” strategy is still alive and well. The American Egg Board is teaming up with soccer star Kristine Lilly. They’re offering tips on healthy eating for active kids. It’s nice to know that not all kids are fat, lazy video game players. Seems that way sometimes from all the news media.
E85 Observations from the Road
Ag Groups, Audio, Ethanol
New USB Members Appointed
A couple of new members were recently appointed to open positions on the United Soybean Board. This of course now makes them high-ranking government officials from the “M” states.
New National Mango Board Members
I almost missed this. It’s good to comb through the inbox you know.
Industry Leader Eileen Shay
Eileen Shay is now a leader. Actually as senior account executive for The Packer I’d guess she already was one. But now she’s graduated from United Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Association’s Produce Industry Leadership Program. She was one of 12 distinguished leaders from the produce industry to be part of the 2005-2006 class, and the first person from The Packer to participate.
Bounty On The Bay
It seems like I was just in Anaheim for Commodity Classic and now we’re talking about Tampa in 2007. Here’s the new poster.
Webby’s Go To Aggy’s
They are called the “Oscars of the Internet,” and two ag groups have won one. They are the 10th Annual Webby Awards.
Rookie Driver Gets Milk
I won’t be in Indianapolis until tomorrow evening but agriculture was on display today. The fastest rookie was honored by the American Dairy Association of Indiana. He’s Marco Andretti and he’s winner number 32. I thought it was interesting that they pointed out that although ethanol has been getting a lot of attention they were the first ag commodity associated with the race.
