Christina Harp, Rhea + Kaiser, got a very cool gig at the Olympics in China. I wish I could take my Schwinn over and provide some assistance and get the “ag” stories that we’ll never see/hear. She’s going to have some stories to tell.
Christina Harp, account coordinator with Rhea + Kaiser Marketing Communications, is serving as a liaison for the Olympics News Service at the Laoshan Cycling Venue during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Harp, a recent graduate of Purdue University, learned of the opportunity through the Purdue University Department of Communication. Harp, along with 13 other Purdue students and recent graduates, will spend seven weeks in China providing assistance to media. The student group was organized through the Beijing Olympic Committee and the Communication University of China.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that’s enabling me to grow personally and professionally,” said Harp, who works on the Bayer CropScience account at R+K. “I’m looking forward to the many different experiences I’ll have and people I’ll meet.”
Harp’s assignment includes image uploading and printing, as well as image delivery to the Main Press Center. She also will provide onsite support to photographers throughout the Games.
