The 2008 Agri-Marketing Conference in underway at Kansas Citys Hyatt Regency Hotel. Nearly 1,100 agrimarketers are in attendance at this years conference the largest crowd since 2000.
KFRMs Kyle Bauer and Northern Ag Networks Taylor Brown emceed Wednesday evenings Best of NAMA awards ceremony. Out of 1,271 entries that advanced through regional and national competition, three entries emerged as Best of Show winners at last nights ceremony. Best of Show winners were:

Six student teams advanced into the finals of the annual NAMA Student Marketing Competition. University of Florida, New Mexico State University, University of Tennessee-Knoxville, Iowa State University, University of Delaware and University of Wisconsin-Madison will compete on Thursday afternoon for the 2008 title.
Attendees of this mornings general sessions were treated to two outstanding presentations by Dan Heath, co-author of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller, Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die; and Barry Libert, CEO of Shared Insights, LLC, who convinced us that WE are smarter than ME, by unleashing the power of crowds in your business.
In addition, Dave Rhylander, Monsanto, was recognized as NAMA Marketer of the Year and Rick Tolman, National Corn Growers Association, was awarded NAMAs Agribusiness Leader of the Year award.
