Members of the NAMA Bombers Motorcycle Club are busy preparing for their national run in Dallas. With the date rapidly approaching, we take a sneak peek at how they are getting ready for their adventure on the road.

Darkness falls over the Minneapolis skyline. Most local residents are headed home for the day. For NAMA Bombers Sergeant at Arms, Dave Dibb, the best part of the day is just starting. It is time for the meeting of the “Fight Club” in the basement of Farm Industry News.

“Bare knuckle boxing has always kept me in good shape. It also improves my sales skills and keeps my mind clear. Being the Sergeant at Arms of a group like the NAMA Bombers is not easy. It forces me to hone my fighting skills to keep my edge,” Dave says.

Early in the morning at the campus of the John Deere Marketing facility in Lenexa, Kansas, there is only one motorcycle in the parking lot. If you listen closely you can hear the theme from Rocky playing in the background as “Iron Mike” Gustafson is jogging. He finishes up his 20 mile run by climbing the famous set of stairs leading to the entrance of John Deere. Iron Mike’s arms go up in the air triumphantly over his head as he reaches the top. He knows Sly Stallone did it first, but Sly wasn’t carrying a John Deere Pro-Series line trimmer across his back!

“Gentlemen Jim” Gresham is preparing by meditation in his martial arts dojo. He is deep in a transcendental mental state for about one hour each morning before the sun comes up. He pictures happy clients at Adculture and increased projections of revenue.

“I have tried breaking boards, walking on hot coals and eating glass, but I have found that deep meditation benefits me the most. It keeps my mind and body as one,” Jim says.

NAMA Bombers Vice President, Jeremy Povenmire, recently completed the complete rebuild of his motorcycle engine. Having a fast motorcycle is a requirement for being a club member, but having the fastest is a coveted title within the group.

“I upgraded just about everything possible on my Harley. If I went any more radical I would have to start burning jet fuel in my gas tank. The most important thing about this rebuild is that I can now outrun Iron Mike. In fact, I am pretty confident that I am going to be able to pass him while riding a wheelie. I am that good,” Jeremy grins humbly.

Congratulations to Jeff Jackson with QuickFarm for correctly guessing that the NAMA Bombers member pictured in the last update was Jeremy Povenmire.

Stay tuned for more NAMA Bombers news as they prepare for their trip to Dallas!

I’m expecting all NAMA Bombers to stop by the ZimmComm Truffle booth for their chance to win a great prize that would look cool being used on a bike.
