What a busy week it has been! Getting ready for the ARC meeting and AMS immediately following. For our ZimmCast this week I interviewed AAEA president Susan Davis. Susan talks about AAEA and what to expect at the Agricultural Media Summit.
The American Agricultural Editors Association is one of the main sponsors of the upcoming Ag Media Summit. At the meeting members will be presented with a strategic plan that’s been in the works for a while. If you’re a member you should go to the AAEA website, read the plan and submit your comments or be prepared to talk about it at the meeting that will be held Aug. 3.
Although I didn’t make the meeting it looks like the committee got a lot done! The notes are too long for this post so I’ll just use this opportunity to point out that the Royal Gala Fundraiser will be held again this year on October 21 at the American Royal headquarters in Kansas City. The event is to raise funds for the Livestock Publications Heritage Center. Besides great food, beverage and fellowship the notes say that Barry Nelson performed magic. Maybe he will again this year!
The Agricultural Relations Council is gearing up for a good time in Milwaukee. If you’re a public relations professional you should consider attending.
