I’ve got a very interesting interview this week with Kyle Russell, Director, Livestock Marketing, Case IH.
Case IH participated in an Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to help an Iowa family (The Kibe’s) who’s home was destroyed. They donated a new Case IH JX1100U tractor with a LX252 loader to the family.
Well I was heading out. Then I got an email with this announcement about a Case IH tractor making its acting debut on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition this coming Sunday.
I just got another report from Paul McKellips, US Department of State, Public Affairs GO Team. He’s on assignment in Erbil, Iraq. This report is about the work being done to repair tractors in Iraq.
I finally had a chance to walk around a little today. One of the first exhibits I wandered through was John Deere.

The Norwegian dairy farmer I interviewed today made a point of making sure I knew he exclusively uses John Deere tractors. He seemed pretty proud of that.
There’s some new tractors out in the Massey Ferguson line. It’s their 500 Series of utility tractors like this 596 model. They also received four AE50 awards from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. You can find out more on these stories on AgNewsWire.AgWired.com.

One of the celebrities at the Michael Peterson/New Holland Celebrity Tractor Race on Sunday was Billy Yates. He had a great time and I’m very glad to have met him.
