It’s time to head to Kansas City. It’s a jazz town but not the same as New Orleans where the NAMA Conference was originally scheduled. I’ll be blogging the conference and already started on the NAMA Blog. Visit it to hear from Conference Chairman, Laurie Christen and Vice Chairman, Barry Nelson.

The National Agri-Marketing Association has named the recipient of its highest honor of the year. George Thornton, President & CEO of Agriliance, LLC is the Agribusiness Leader of the Year. “The award honors outstanding leaders in agribusiness, education, government service or other agribusiness related areas who exemplify excellence in agribusiness by their significant contributions to the industry.” The award will be presented at the opening session of this year’s annual conference, April 20 in Kansas city.

The term “broadcast” has a lot of meanings these days. It could mean over the air transmission, satellite feed, internet streaming, podasting or a dial-in phone feed. That last one is what the Agriculture Council of America is doing for Ag Day.
