The 2006 Commodity Classic is getting closer. That’s one of the reasons I’ve been a little behind on posting today. Preparations. That and having our internet access upgraded somewhat which caused us to be “without” for a while this afternoon. But no time like the present time to post some news.

One of the place I couldn’t be this week is World Ag Expo, Tulare, CA. However, the Governator was. The show newsletter says he toured yesterday and made comments, focusing on water issues for one thing.
Agromek About To Kick Off In Denmark
General Manager Peter Hansen, who is also chairman, is about to kick off Agromek 2006 on January 17.
Butter Is Bigger & Better
A little butter makes things better. In this case The Farm Show got kicked off in Pennsylvania with a sculpture crafted from 800 pounds of butter that was donated by the Land O’Lakes plant in Carlisle, PA.
100 Years of the National Western
This would be me in a rodeo. You can’t get thrown and trampled by a stick. However, I wouldn’t be safe because you can still trip over a stick and fall down and break your neck.

World Ag Expo has an interim general manager to replace Gary Schulz. He’s Jerry Sinift and he’s got a lot of experience at the show as his resume attests to.

Well I guess I know why Gary hasn’t been getting back to me. I’d been discussing the idea of blogging World Ag Expo with Gary Schultz who even attended the NAMA Boot Camp and my blogging class.

Utah State Fair By Napoleon Dynamite
Steve Mays gets the credit here. He found out that the Utah State Fair is using Napoleon Dynamite in their marketing campaign and I think it’s hilarious. Blogging From The Road This Week
It’s going to be a long day tomorrow, starting at the 2005 Country Elevator/Feed Industry
Conference and Trade Show in St. Louis at Union Station. After a couple of meetings there, then it’s off to Atlanta and then Raleigh before getting back to the blogicile (like a domicile).
