Apparently, Sam Scott, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Corn Products International, will deliver a slide presentation via webcast at 11:15 a.m. Eastern Time on May 18 at the Harris Nesbitt Agriculture and Protein Conference in New York.
Mosaic Re-structuring Phosphate Business
The Mosaic Company is doing some re-structuring which includes closing several Florida phosphate fertilizer production plants and mines. It looks like that will mean less jobs but they’ll still have about 3,000 employees just in Florida. The company expects this to help the bottom line of course and keep them competitive in their pricing.
