The World Pork Expo is not too far away. It’s coming up June 8 – 10 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines. I’ve been meaning to let you know about it and the 19th Annual Great Pork Barbeqlossal. It looks like it will be a good one. I will however be at a different event taking place at the same time but I’m sure I’ll get information to bring you from the event. Here’s some more information on this year’s contest:

Every day has to be some sort of “day” anymore. Today it’s World Intellectual Property Day according to the World Intellectual Property Organization. Here’s what their Director General, Kamil Idris, says, “World Intellectual Property Day is an opportunity to encourage people to think about the role played by intellectual property in everyday life, and about its importance in stimulating and safeguarding innovation and creativity.” They’ve even got a 30 sec video clip you can watch here (WMV file).

IALF Golf Classic & Reunion
The rain we’ve been needing here in central Missouri is happening finally. I mention it since this is a golf story and it would have been too wet this morning to do that. I’m sure the weather will be fine for the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation golf tournament though. It’s June 26th at the Elk’s Golf Course in Pontiac.
