World Intellectual Property DayEvery day has to be some sort of “day” anymore. Today it’s World Intellectual Property Day according to the World Intellectual Property Organization. Here’s what their Director General, Kamil Idris, says, “World Intellectual Property Day is an opportunity to encourage people to think about the role played by intellectual property in everyday life, and about its importance in stimulating and safeguarding innovation and creativity.” They’ve even got a 30 sec video clip you can watch here (WMV file).

IALF Golf Classic & Reunion

IALFThe rain we’ve been needing here in central Missouri is happening finally. I mention it since this is a golf story and it would have been too wet this morning to do that. I’m sure the weather will be fine for the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation golf tournament though. It’s June 26th at the Elk’s Golf Course in Pontiac.

Hope You Like Canned Tuna

U. S. Tuna FoundationI’d be interested to know your thoughts on the whole bird flu pandemic scare. Apparently the U. S. Dept. of Health & Human Services thinks it’s for real. They just issued new recommendations for people to get ready. According to a release by the U. S. Tuna Foundation that recommendation includes stocking up on canned tuna.
