It’s time once again for the Cattle Industry Convention. This week I’ll feature on-site coverage here on AgWired.
DomesticFuel Blog Takes Off
Posting has been a little light this week but I will have a lot coming out over the next couple days. ZimmComm has been a little busy evolving ever further into the new media world. For that reason we’re changing our name to ZimmComm New Media, LLC. We’re pretty much all about new media now, even though a lot of what we do still involved marketing and communications. As a former colleague used to say about his organization, “We’re a constantly evolving strategy.”
Aprhodisiac Tomatoes From Florida
Doing creative television commercials doesn’t have to break your budget. That’s what the Florida Tomatoe Committee found out when they created this new tv campaign. The campaign will air beginning January 30 and run again in March on several cable networks targeting women, 25 – 54.
CBB Blog To Inform Producers

New Website For U. S. Grains Council
A new website can be a beautiful thing. I especially like simplicity, ease of navigation. In other words, Don’t Make Me Think.
Beef Lover Sweepstakes Contests
The Missouri Beef Industry Council’s weekly MBIC Report this week is with Marketing Director Dawn Thurnau who talks about sweepstakes contests for beef lovers that are being promoted in national magazines in addition to regular beef advertising.
Quirky Hispanic “Drink Milk” Ads
If you’re sitting there wishing you had something interesting to watch, try these new Got Milk hispanic ads. They’re set to begin airing January 30. I think Adrants describes these spots right with the word “quirky.”
Farm Bureau Mutual Crop1 Acquisition Complete
I just stopped off at a Holiday Inn here in Chicago for a quick email check with their lobby wi-fi and found out that the Farm Bureau Mutual acquisition of Crop1 Insurance is final as announced today (one AgNewsWire.AgWired.com).
Angus Carcass Challenge Winner Announced
You have seriously got to be “into” beef for this story. A real steak lover would like a good carcass challenge though. I don’t think I’d do very good at this competition. Heck, I didn’t do a great job on a roast I cooked in the crock pot this weekend. The family units said that eating it was a real challenge.
Team Ethanol Now With Rahal Letterman
If you’re going to switch teams, pick a good one. That’s what Team Ethanol driver Paul Dana did. The rumor was floating around until confirmation came today at an Indy Racing League press conference. Paul Dana will now be driving for Rahal Letterman Racing, which makes him a teammate to Danica Patrick.
