- The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is seeking nominations for the Advisory Committee on Agriculture Statistics, which advises the Secretary of Agriculture on the scope, timing and content of agricultural surveys and censuses. Nomination forms are available here and due by November 29th.

- The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), and the National Science Foundation (NSF), have named teams from Cornell University, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of Houston, and Lincoln University as winners of the first annual Innovations in Food and Agricultural Science and Technology (I-FAST) $200,000 prize competition.
