World Ag Forum Seeks Key To Peace, Security and Growth

Chuck Zimmerman

The World Agricultural Forum gets started today in St. Louis but I’m going to miss it this year. I’ll try to have some images and information sent to me so I can update you on what the discussions are like. The theme this year is “The Key to Peace, Security and Growth: Local, Regional AND Global Agri-Food Systems.”

Latest ZimmCast From A Very Small Room At BCS In KC, MO

Chuck Zimmerman

In our ZimmCast this week I interview the three principals of BCS in Kansas City. Illinois Blasdel, Leigh Ann Cleaver and Kelly Schwalbe hosted an agency open house last week. I just wish I could have stayed for the whole party but that would have meant getting a hotel room and I had to get back home. You can look at the comments from my first post about the open house last week to find out how long the party actually lasted!

Support Corn, Eat Beef & Pork

Here’s an item from the Illinois Corn Growers Daily Corn Industry Update that I just had to post and agree with. I like to say that I love soybeans and corn, especially after they’ve been processed by a tasty animal! It’s good to see corn growers openly acknowledging this. I know the soybean folks do and even have a special animal ag initiative.

Who Owns This Bike?

Chuck Zimmerman

I know who owns it. He came to the Blasdell Cleaver Schwalbe open house astride this bad boy, strutting inside pulling off his biker’s gloves. I know you know him well. The first person to comment or email me with his identity will receive a “I’ve been blogged by AgriMarketing Pros” t-shirt. (We’ll identify him in a future post)

New Digs For Illinois, Leigh Ann and Kelly

Chuck Zimmerman

Blasdel Cleaver Schwalbe Communications that is. The trio hosted an open house today at their new offices in Kansas City. It was a long drive over but worth it for a great party. In fact the party’s still going on but I’m back home. I wouldn’t call them early in the morning. I think the office pace will be a little slow tomorrow.

What FB Thinks Of Blogs

Chuck Zimmerman

Blogging’s not for everyone and especially not for the guy who writes WebWatch for American Farm Bureau Federation. I didn’t come across this myself. It was forwarded to me and provided too good an opportunity to pass up.
