It’s pretty warm and humid here in Madison, WI at World Dairy Expo. I’m very proud and happy with my little office (The Fishbowl) in the Coliseum. This used to be the receptionists office and now I guess it just serves as a communications equipment hub. Anyway, this is where I’ll be giving you some World Dairy Expo updates. You can see a lot more on World Dairy Diary!
Keep Up With Expo On World Dairy Diary
What kind of public relations people would we be if we didn’t do a talking news release about our own project eh? So of course we sent one out on World Dairy Diary, our very own farm show blog and the “Official blog of World Dairy Expo.” I’ll be posting here on AgWired from Expo next week but you can already see and hear plenty on World Dairy Diary!
Listen To The Expo Marketing Manager
How’d you like to be responsible for all the media and marketing for a farm show that attracts about 65,000 people? We’re talking international reporters and visitors. Well in the case of World Dairy Expo it’s all the work of Lisa Behnke, Marketing Manager (pictured to the right of yours truly). She’s hard at work now getting ready for all the media representatives who will be covering Expo. Of course she also does other things and I think you’ll be able to tell from my interview with her that she’s proud of World Dairy Expo and committed to making it even better.
Win A Holstein Association Jacket
Just last week I told you about this contest being run by the Holstein Association and this week we helped them promote it by sending out a Talking News Release! Here’s your chance to hear Lisa Perrin. She did a good job don’t you think?
New Sponsor For World Dairy Diary
In just over a week I’ll be living out of a little room at the Coliseum in the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI blogging World Dairy Expo. I’ll bring you some of it here but I’ll mainly be blogging it on World Dairy Diary, a ZimmComm blog and the “Official blog of the World Dairy Expo!”
Guess The Members & Win A Jacket
It’s nice to see an organization promoting and using its website! It’s an interactive medium after all. Take this contest being run by Holstein Association USA. You can meet each of the Holstein Association’s members of the day in their booth at World Dairy Expo between 11am and 2pm.
Bou-Matic Gets Monster Exposure
I used this story on World Dairy Diary and think it’s too cool not to use on AgWired as well. I wish I had some video to post but not until after the show airs.
World Dairy Diary Public Now
This isn’t new news to many of you but we post all Talking News Releases that our company produces and add them to our RSS feed. Today we publicly began promoting “World Dairy Diary,” the official weblog of the World Dairy Expo. Since it’s a TNR it includes links to sound bites. We distributed to our list of ag journalists (print & broadcast) here and internationally as well as our national database of radio station reporters and through PR Web. Feel free to check it out. BTW, sponsorships are currently available.
The Art of Dairy On The ZimmCast
How much do you know about the World Dairy Expo? Now you can learn more by listening to this week’s ZimmCast. I interviewed World Dairy Expo, general manager, Tom McKittrick in his office recently. Tom describes the history, mission, purpose, theme and structure of the Expo. Many of you probably already know this but we’re also operating a weblog called “World Dairy Diary” in cooperation with World Dairy Expo. Look for more on the Expo in coming months. AgWired will be there blogging the show!
Meet “The Art of Dairy” Creator On This Week’s ZimmCast
You know that ZimmComm has created the World Dairy Expo Blog and when you visit you’ll see an image of a cow that’s in the process of being painted. If you go to the World Dairy Expo website you’ll see an opening flash animation of that cow being painted. In this week’s ZimmCast I interview Brad Nellis, Distillery Design Studio, who has worked on the theme images of the Expo for about 10 years. He’s the creative talent behind the campaigns, including this year’s “The Art of Dairy” theme.
