Hello from Nashville. This blogging experience began today at the Country Music Association building where I picked up my media credentials. From there it was off to the parade and I’ll have many more posts coming your way this evening, including audio and video.
XM or Sirius
Which is the best? Simple question, eh? How about it all you farmers I know are reading? Post a comment and vote for your favorite. I’ve mentioned that I subscribe to Sirius and I’ll be listening on my way to Nashville for the CMA Fan Fair.
How I Blog Part One
I have been asked many times about how I blog and what tools I use. I’ve been meaning to write a post about it but I’ve been too busy blogging. BTW. This is post number 1,875 on AgWired since I started in case you had a burning need to know that. I’m going to break this up into two different …
Don’t Miss This
I asked you to send in your favorite summer festivals but so far no response. I guess I’ll just have to keep finding my own. There’s this perennial favorite in Missouri. It’s the 13th Annual Olean Testicle Festival. That’s pronounced, Oh-lee-ann.
Off To See The Race
So much to post so little time. But there’s lots more coming from Indiana this week. Time to head on over to the Brickyards. I’ve got an interesting stop on the way I may be able to tell you about sometime. One of those brainstorming a cool new idea in the delivery of information to farmers things.
Does Your CEO Blog
I just read an interesting article on e-Marketer titled, “Executives Not Quite Hot To Blog.” It reports on a study that found that “. . . only a small minority of top executives are convinced that corporate blogging is growing in credibility either as a communications medium, brand-building technique or a sales or lead generation tool.” Interesting. Not everyone buys into that viewpoint though.
New ZimmCast On The Way
I’m sure you’ve noticed that I didn’t post a new ZimmCast this week. Mea culpa. It’s the first week in well over a year that I’ve missed an episode. But don’t worry. There will be a new one this coming week and all the weeks after that. After 69 programs I hit a wall this week in ideas and time.
So look for a new ZimmCast by Monday. I promise.
Festival Time of the Year
It’s already time for the festival season to get in high gear. Many of them are tied into agriculture like the Maifest in Herman, MO. Yes, wine, bratwurst, beer, these are all agricultural products.
Advertise On AgWired
Advertising on AgWired is now officially available. You’ve already seen some of it in fact from companies like Rhea & Kaiser, New Holland and Pioneer Hi-Bred.
Closer To Home
We just got onto I-64 at Mt. Vernon, IL on the trek back to the mighty MO. Chelsea is driving so I can do a little email and posting. And I do mean “little.” But some is better than none right? I’ll be back in full swing tomorrow.
