Many of you probably know Willie Vogt, Farm Progress Companies. He’s helping out here at the Farm Futures Management Summit registration desk (right). Willie is keeping an eye on all the activity and as he describes it, the roller coaster is over the top of the hill and on the down slope.
Farm Futures Management Summit Underway
Hello from the first ever Farm Futures Management Summit in St. Louis, MO. Boy do we have a crowd here. Over 170 farmers are attending this conference.
Farm Futures Management Summit
This week I’ll be attending the first Farm Futures Management Summit in St. Louis. The conference is full so I guess they’re on to something. I’m going to help create a significant amount of multi-media content for them which they’ll be using in follow up to the conference. However, don’t be surprised to see some posts from this event.
Interactive Media Producer
Here’s a new communications title I haven’t seen before. Interactive media producer. This new media world is spawning a lot of uh, new things. It looks like Successful Farming is gearing up to move further ahead into this online world we live in. Kudos! It will be interesting to see some of Jason’s product.
Capital Press is Podcasting
How about this? Capital Press is podcasting. You know what I think? That’s COOL!
New Pork Industry Handbook
Wondering what to get your favorite pork producer for Christmas? How about a fresh copy of the Pork Industry Handbook?
Boomtown ABC’s
I keep up with Jack Schultz who may travel more than I do. He’s the Boomtown USA guy.
Now the Boomtown Institute has a new book out, “ABC Volume One: Enriching Your Community One Letter at a Time” by Megan Beeler and Coleen Phillips.
Three Managers For Three-Sixty
Vance’s Food360 division has some new managers. They are Gary English, Eileen (Shay) Weishaar and Cheri Knoy. All of them will work in the Produce Group which publishes The Packer, Produce Merchandising, The Grower, and Citrus & Vegetable as well as web sites and other electronic products covering production through retailing of fruits and vegetables.
Kudos for AVICTA Complete Pak
Syngenta’s AVICTA Complete Pak has been named Product of the Year by AgriMarketing magazine.
Country People Have an Organization
An association for people who live in the country? It seems like we have a lot of those but maybe not one like this. It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out. The announcement says there will be an annual convention and trade show too. Hmmm . . . Member registration is $49.
