You always have to celebrate the end of the first day at a farm show. World Dairy Expo is no different. The exhibitor reception was sponsored by Hoard’s Dairyman. Isn’t this a great looking group?
All Aboard For World Dairy Expo 2006
While I was in the media room here at World Dairy Expo a little while ago I found out about next year’s “theme”. It’s already designed and they were providing us with posters. So here’s your first look at next year’s theme – Dairy Central. Let me know what you think!
World Ag Expo’s Billion Dollar Impact
I’m assuming that the economic impact referred to here is to the local economy. I’ve always believed that a big show like this one has a huge impact on local businesses. It’s interesting that the World Ag Expo has put together a report to show that impact. I think it would help with local business relationships.
Keep Up With Expo On World Dairy Diary
What kind of public relations people would we be if we didn’t do a talking news release about our own project eh? So of course we sent one out on World Dairy Diary, our very own farm show blog and the “Official blog of World Dairy Expo.” I’ll be posting here on AgWired from Expo next week but you can already see and hear plenty on World Dairy Diary!
Baking Show In China
Yes I think we’re getting international attention! The releases are now coming in from China. This is an interesting sounding show – Interbake China. It’s the 10th China bakery exhibition and it sounds like a big one. If I counted right they are expecting 530 exhibitors from 83 countries. That’s a lot of baking information to take in at one show! It’ll be held next May 12-14. You can see pictures from this year’s event here.
Listen To The Expo Marketing Manager
How’d you like to be responsible for all the media and marketing for a farm show that attracts about 65,000 people? We’re talking international reporters and visitors. Well in the case of World Dairy Expo it’s all the work of Lisa Behnke, Marketing Manager (pictured to the right of yours truly). She’s hard at work now getting ready for all the media representatives who will be covering Expo. Of course she also does other things and I think you’ll be able to tell from my interview with her that she’s proud of World Dairy Expo and committed to making it even better.
Get Your Ticket To Tulare
The World Ag Expo is looking for sponsors and they have a lot of things you can sponsor. Some examples include:
The Agri Ahead Virtual Farm Show
I don’t know if you’ve heard about this but it’s a new one on me. It’s Agri Ahead and it’s online until December 31st. A virtual farm show and available in different languages. I’m impressed. This is their second year. It’s put together by AHead™ Business Solutions Ltd. The site says they currently have 55 exhibitors from 15 countries. Once you get to the “booths” they have a chat feature, contact and product information. You can even schedule a meeting with a company representative!
News From Husker Show
I didn’t get to go to Grand Island for the Husker Harvest Days show again this year but I could still keep up with it thanks to Willie Vogt and his staff. You can find lots of good information like the story about Secretary Johanns farm listening forum, complete with pictures: Nebraska Farm Forum Draws Big Husker Crowd
World Dairy Diary Public Now
This isn’t new news to many of you but we post all Talking News Releases that our company produces and add them to our RSS feed. Today we publicly began promoting “World Dairy Diary,” the official weblog of the World Dairy Expo. Since it’s a TNR it includes links to sound bites. We distributed to our list of ag journalists (print & broadcast) here and internationally as well as our national database of radio station reporters and through PR Web. Feel free to check it out. BTW, sponsorships are currently available.
