- Tarter has joined Tractor Supply to co-sponsor the Diversified Livestock Production Proficiency Award Program for the 2008 National FFA Convention to be held in Indianapolis, Ind., from Oct. 22-25. The Diversified Livestock Production Proficiency Award recognizes FFA members’ application of best management practices to efficiently produce and market a combination of two or more livestock-related species such as beef, dairy, swine, sheep or poultry.
- Kemin Industries, Inc. announces the introduction of LYSOFORTE brand Biosurfactant into the U.S. market. LYSOFORTE, the only product of its kind worldwide for animal agriculture, enhances the absorption of fatty acids as well as other nutrients, or it can be used to partially replace oil or fat being added to diets which results in a direct cost savings while still maintaining animal performance.
- Fluidigm Corporation and BIOKÉ announced that Enza Zaden has chosen the Fluidigm’s BioMark System for Genetic Engineering and the new 96.96 Dynamic Array to help assure the quality of its seed supply.
- KL Energy Corp. announced that it has acquired KL Process Design Group. This acquisition and accompanying funding will allow KL Energy Corp. to develop its second commercial scale cellulose-based ethanol production facility.
