The Texas Longhorn Marketing Alliance (TLMA) announced today that it is acquiring the Texas Longhorn Legacy Sale, an annual event that tops the calendar of the Longhorn cattle industry, generating $2.3 million in sales this year. TLMA is acquiring the event from its founders, Texas Hill County ranchers Joe and Lorinda Valentine and Mississippi rancher Bill Hudson.
“The Texas Longhorn Legacy Sale has been an overwhelming success and we are extremely appreciative of the support from friends throughout the Longhorn industry,” said Joe Valentine. “The Legacy has grown to the point that it requires the additional management and marketing resources only the TLMA offers. We are excited that the Legacy Sale will remain an industry-leading event to promote everyone’s beloved Longhorn cattle, and we look forward to many years of continued involvement and support.”
