During the 2007 InfoAg Conference I got to go on a ride and drive with Brian Mathis, TeeJet Technologies.
They’ve got a demo unit for their products set up on a Kubota utility vehicle which works very well for situations like this and it’s a lot easier to haul around than the alternative. Today they were demonstrating their auto steer product which was very cool. The gps controlled unit steers in a straight line down the row you’re on. The driver has to manually turn but the unit takes over and keeps you on the right next path you’re on.
To get a better idea of how this thing works watch a short video of my ride.
