Rather than update the previous post announcement on this I thought I’d just copy the post from Domestic Fuel:
It’s National Agriculture Day. Time to thank a farmer for the abundant and safe food supply we have been blessed with in this country!
ZimmComm New Media is 2 years old! Praise the Lord. Hard to believe. This week’s ZimmCast is a Chuck & Cindy summary of where the company is and where it’s going. We review why we changed our name to include “New Media” and talk about some of our blogging and podcasting projects.
It’s not St. Patty’s day yet but green soy beer was flowing in Jefferson City this evening at the second annual Shamrock Shindig. This is our Missouri Director of Agriculture’s showcase reception for our legislators. It’s a great party.
At the Commodity Classic last week BASF held a press conference to talk about Headline fungicide. One of the presenters was Rick Chamblee, Technical Services Manager. I think the primary message he had to provide for us media types to communicate to growers was the recommendations BASF makes for using the product on corn and soybeans.
What a week it was last week in Anaheim. I was only there about 3 days. It feels like it was a week. It was a lot of work but a lot got done. Here’s a ZimmCast that contains an interview I conducted in the trade show at the BASF booth. You can also hear a cut from one of the new songs on the Michael Peterson, “Down on the Farm” CD.
Here’s an interesting story. When have you heard of an advertising agency creating content? Actually, it’s something we’re starting to see more of and even in the agrimarketing world. This time it’s Osborn & Barr, producers of a live show to air on RFD-TV Monday evening at 8pm, EST. It’s called “Prospering In Rural America,” the theme of the recent USDA Agricultural Outlook Forum.
I think some of the folks here think MN Governor Tim Pawlenty should run for President. The Gov was here on stage at Friday morning’s general session and gave a great talk about how his state has led the way in the development of renewable fuels.
