  • The Renewable Fuels Association announced that DSM has recently joined the organization. DSM’s Bio-based Products and Services unit is headquartered in Elgin, Ill., with global research capabilities at the Elgin site and a start-of-the art facility in Delft, The Netherlands.

  • The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) joined more than 200 organizations to form the USMCA Coalition: “Ratifying the USMCA will guarantee North America’s manufacturing competitiveness and supports our industry’s nearly 1.5 million men and women working across the U.S. and Canada,” said AEM president Dennis Slater. “That is why we are urging Congress to take quick action to ratify the United States Mexico Canada Agreement.”
  • American Agri-Women installed its executive committee at its annual convention, held recently in Springfield, Ill. Two new officers joined the standing members of the executive committee. Lesley Schmidt of Kansas Agri-Women was elected to a two-year term as vice president of education. Natalina Sents from Iowa Agri-Women was elected to a two-term as secretary.
  • BigIron Auctions announced the company will provide its expertise and partner with the National Sorghum Producers in its biggest fundraiser of the year. The fundraiser will take place in conjunction with the 2019 Commodity Classic show, which is one of the largest in the agriculture industry.

  • Farmers Union Enterprises recently released STEM:IT AG, a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) curriculum focused on agriculture, food and natural resources for kindergarten through 12th grade students.
